The bedroom in the cottage
The
Cottage is located in the Rue du Presbytere which is a small lane close to the
village square and just around the corner from Tremolat's famous Church. This
stone building is hundreds of years old and falls within the Bourg which is
that part of the village which was encompassed by the town walls during the
medieval period. Forming part of the building is what used to be the carpentry workshop
where the menuisiers (carpenters) carried out their work for the Church and the
community. Right in the middle of the tranquil village of
Tremolat it makes a wonderful holiday retreat for a couple or 4 at a squeeze. The
cottage has been recently renovated and upgraded to become a comfortable
holiday home. It possesses a new fully fitted kitchen which has all that you
need to make your holiday a true home from home (including an automatic washing
machine) The shower room has also recently been installed. In the lounge there
are original crafted stone walls and open beams right to the top of the vaulted
ceiling and over the mezzanine bedroom. The mezzanine offers polished wood
floors and charming walnut furniture with a matching double bed. It overlooks
the floor of the lounge which has a huge woodburning stove for cosy evenings on
chilly nights, a dining table for 4 and a comfortable sofa bed. We have private
parking just outside the building.

THE
GARDEN Through
the french windows there is an enclosed courtyard garden where a barbecue and
garden furniture is provided for lazy hazy days and "al fresco"
breakfast, lunch and tea. (When you are not treating yourself to dinner at our
local Bistro at the end of the lane!). Through the garden gate leads you to the
pool enclosure. The brand new pool is fully enclosed for privacy and safety and offers
additional lounging areas. Use of the pool is shared with the residents of the
House and the owners although private “timeslots” can be made available if
desired.
